Job Summary
The Head of Software is responsible for leading our software department to continuously develop and improve on new and existing products. This role would involve leading a growing team, hiring, training and collaborating with key stakeholders to align, strategize and execute on our software product roadmap.
Responsibilities
- Lead, mentor, and manage the software development team.
- Oversee the development of native Android, web-based, and .NET-based Windows applications.
- Develop and implement software development strategies aligned with business goals.
- Ensure software compatibility with hardware and firmware in collaboration with the engineering team.
- Integration of data analytics and AI into software solutions.
- Establish and enforce best practices, coding standards, and development methodologies.
- Implement continuous improvement processes for software quality and development efficiency.
- Oversee software testing, debugging, and release processes.
- Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends to improve development processes and product offerings.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation for all software development activities.
Requirements:
- Minimum 10 years experience in software development with at least 5 years of management experience in managing a team.
- Proven experience in software development, including native Android, web-based, and .NET-based Windows applications.
- Proven experience with dealing with software applications deployed on a hardware
- Strong leadership and team management skills. Excellent collaboration and communication skills.
- Extensive experience with data analytics and AI integration. Knowledge of hardware and firmware compatibility considerations.
- Proficiency in Agile development methodologies. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
