The Job
We are looking for a highly motivated, independent leader to help us explore new markets! As Expansion Manager, your task will be to build the foundation for us to grow our business in Vietnam.
Key Responsibility Include:
Understanding local drone laws, regulations and requirements to operate
Support Poladrone in setting up local business entity, sales licenses, import certifications, etc.
Researching the local drone market – players, customers, government entities, products, prices, etc.
Understanding the local drone ecosystem of competitors, customers, government stakeholders, etc.
Analysing the local economics for agriculture and industrial drones – market size, prices, business models, etc.
Developing new business for Poladrone – visiting potential customers, organizing demos, delivering products, etc.
Liaising with local partners, resellers and government agencies for potential partnerships or deals
Requirements:
Bachelor or Master degree in business or related field
3+ years experience in managerial, business development, or engineering/technical roles, ideally in a startup or other company building capacity
Experience with agriculture market and drones a big plus
Highly motivated to tackle all aspects of ‘starting something from scratch’
Able to think strategically about the business, competitors, product positioning, etc.
Must be proficient in Vietnamese and English; Mandarin a big plus
Independent, able to plan and complete tasks with limited supervision
Highly detail-oriented, structured and good communicator
Own a driver’s license & willing to travel across Vietnam
