The Job:
- Research and develop an efficient workflow for GIS Processing
- Supporting and participating in the development and management of GIS applications.
- Work closely with company internal AI & software team for Geospatial AI/ML applications
- Data processing of airborne aerial imagery and lidar from raw data collection to output such as orthorectified imagery, elevation modelling, point cloud data.
- Assure quality and accuracy of aerial imagery and the LIDAR data post-processing.
- Preparing, analyzing, and maintaining up-to-date geospatial data sets and documentation for various departments, both internal and external.
- Work as part of a multi-disciplinary development team, participating in the different team leads meetings, design reviews, brainstorming sessions, and testing events.
You should be familiar with:
- Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor’s Degree in Geomatics Surveying/ GIS /Agriculture Engineering or equivalent qualification
- 2+ years field experience as land surveyor
- Very familiar with survey equipment and methods (GNSS stations, ground control points, coordinate systems, RTK)
- Knowledge of GIS software (ArcGIS, QGIS, GRASS, OSM, Google Earth Pro, Pix4D, etc.)
- Fluent in technical written and spoken English
- Existing technical knowhow in drone hardware & software (not required but ideal)
- Detail-oriented and excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- A quick Learner and have strong understanding of commercial & technical aspects of a project.
- Ability to work effectively under tight time constraints and adapt to the needs of the research requirements.
- Knowledge in scripting such Python for geospatial data structuring and visualization is an added advantage
- Experienced in Geomatic Surveys is an added advantage
- Experience in flying drones is an added advantage
